The Colorado Department of Agriculture will open applications Oct. 1 for the 2027 Agricultural Workforce Development Program, which provides grants to Colorado farms, ranches and agricultural businesses that hire interns.
The program offers up to $5,000 per internship and reimburses up to 50% of eligible employment costs, including wages and workers’ compensation insurance. Preference is given to crop, livestock, dairy, timber and greenhouse or nursery producers.
