The Rangely Area Chamber of Commerce presented three major awards on Feb. 8 during its annual Crab Crack on the Colorado Northwest Community College campus.

While the snowmobilers were busy with the third annual “I Ride With James” Poker and Snowmobile Ride on Sunday, some folks took time out to go sledding, taking advantage of a steep slope on the opposite side from the Lost Creek Trailhead, about 31 miles up County Road 8.

MEEKER I Roughly 135 sleds, several with more than one rider, took part in the third annual “I Ride with James” Poker and Snowmobile Ride on Sunday, raising funds for the James Sizemore Memorial Scholarships and for Rio Blanco County Search and Rescue.

New pediatric clinic in Meeker

The Pioneers Medical Center Pediatric Care Clinic had its public open house on Friday, and the medical staff at the clinic was present to meet visitors and introduce them to clinic’s services.

Roughly 300 people attended the Rangely Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual Crab Crack on Saturday night on the Colorado Northwestern Community College campus, where the chamber also announced the community’s top businesses of the year.
