MEEKER I Downtown Meeker will be buzzing from 11 a.m. to mid afternoon on Saturday as Mountain Valley Bank hosts its 10th annual Fall Festival with co-sponsors White River Electric Association (WREA) and the ERBM Recreation and Park District for the benefit of local non-profit fund-raising efforts.

Perhaps eating leaves helps deer build strong bodies, but between these three bucks there are at least 22 antler points, not counting brow tines. The three big bucks were spotted this past weekend eating the leaves of a tree that had been downed by lightning or high winds in Meeker.
Road and Bridge handles county rains without problems

From My Window… Pretty sunny outside my window, but gas stinks
Two weeks ago, while driving around Meeker and back and forth between the Meeker Classic Sheepdog Championship Trials and a few other photos that needed to be taken, the warning light on my car’s dashboard lit up, indicating that my car was overheating.

From My Window… Pot sales an issue to ponder; Classic a woolly success
Out my window, I see a few unsettling clouds on the horizon in the form of debate that has the potential to divide the “old school” residents of Meeker and Rangely from what could be described as the “new thought” residents of the two towns.
