Rangely graduate named Kansas principal of year
RANGELY I Tim Hayden, a 1998 Rangely High School graduate, was selected as the 2010-2011 Kansas Middle School Principal of the Year. Hayden is principal at the Valley Center Middle School in Valley Center, Kan., just north of Wichita.
Meeker cantata to be presented Dec. 12
MEEKER I The community Christmas cantata, “The Mystery and the Majesty,” will be Dec. 12 at 3 p.m. at Meeker High School auditorium. Cookies and punch will be served afterward.

Our fifth-grade classes would like to inform you what we think about the four-day school week. Personally, I love the four-day school week. I like it because it gives us an extra day on the weekend.

FFA News: Meeker chapter holds annual creed contest
MEEKER I The Meeker FFA Chapter hosted its local creed contest on Nov. 9. Fifteen students enrolled in Mrs. Smith’s introduction to agricultural science and technology class presented the FFA Creed in an intensely competitive environment.

Jenna Dole Pelloni MEEKER | Holt Kenneth Pelloni is excited to announce the arrival of his little sister, Jenna Dole Pelloni. She was born Nov. 18 at 6:27 a.m. at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction. Jenna weighed 5 pounds, 14 ounces and was 19 inches long at birth.
