Bradfield training at Air Force Academy

MEEKER | Nathan Bradfield has entered basic cadet training at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs in preparation to enter the first academic year at the academy. The six-week, two-phased orientation program must be successfully completed by the cadets prior to entering their freshman year.

RBC | The Rio Blanco County 4-H state judging team members were Stacey Fitzgibbons, Morgan Neilson, Colter Otwell and Maclaine Shults. They competed against 13 other senior judging teams from across Colorado, plus 14 additional outstanding Colorado 4-H livestock judging individuals.

Caves will be closed statewide on July 19

RBC I Colorado cavers have been notified that all Colorado, South Dakota and most Wyoming public caves with the U.S. Forest Service will be closed, starting July 19, to protect bats from White-Nose Syndrome, which is caused by fungus and disturbs the animals during hibernation,
