RANGELY — Almost all of us know someone whose life has been affected or devastated by cancer. A special luminaria ceremony will be held at the Rio Blanco County “Relay for Life” Aug. 22 to remember those lost to cancer and honor those who have survived.

n First annual “Road Rash and Splash” mini-triathlon is Saturday, July 19 for ages 13 and over. Cost is $15 for individuals; $30 for teams of two or three. Register at the Rec Center. Registration deadline is 5 p.m., Friday, July 18. Course information is available at the MRC.
