RBC I Meeker’s Barone Middle School eighth-graders beat rival Rangely last week for the second time in two weeks.
The BMS A team won 54-21, while the B team scrimmaged Rangely.
“The girls played well,” said Meeker coach Deb Henderson. “The girls are really starting to understand the system.”
Rangely coach Jessica Fortunato said, “We gave Meeker a much better game this week.”
In the seventh-grade games, Meeker’s A team won 33-16 and the B team won 8-0.
But, said Rangely seventh-grade coach Jared Heaps, “Our overall play was better this time.”
Meeker plays at Craig on Saturday, while Rangely travels to Steamboat Springs.
