Scoggins wins Range Call 5K for 4th time
MEEKER I For a fourth year in a row, Rangely’s William Scoggins has won the annual Run For Your Life 5K held in Meeker during the 130th annual Range Call Celebration.
19 teams join Range Call 3-on-3 basketball play; six teams win
MEEKER I Nineteen teams endured the heat on Saturday to play in the annual Main Street Madness 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament, in which six teams won championships in three different age divisions.

MEEKER I A stellar year for new beginnings came in 1885. The Town of Meeker was officially started. The rodeo began that year and never stopped. And James Lyttle came to town and started a newspaper on Aug. 5, 1885.
Meeker track, field OK’d; work set for spring
MEEKER I The Meeker Board of Education gave its approval Tuesday night to Hellas Construction Inc. of Austin, Texas, as general contractor for the district’s track and field project.
