MEEKER I She came to Meeker in 1930 on horseback, accompanied by her brother, six horses and 16 head of cattle to live on Lime Kiln. “I don’t know if I have much of a story to tell,” said Ruby Hart, 96.
Stroke, osteoporosis screenings in Meeker
MEEKER I Residents living in and around Meeker can be screened to reduce their risk of having a stroke or bone fracture. Rio Blanco County Fairgrounds will host Life Line Screening on May 19. The site is located at 779 Sulphur Creek Rd. in Meeker.

Tom N. Kritsas, 57, was born in Meeker, Colo., on Nov. 8, 1954. He passed away on May 10, 2012, after a short battle with cancer.
