Whether you realize it or not, there’s a historic connection between the city of Greeley on the Front Range and the town of Meeker. Nathan Meeker worked as a reporter for Horace Greeley. Greeley, it is said, visited the town that bears his name for one day in 1870.

Charlee Annabell Ary Charlee Annabell Ary was born Jan. 9, 2011, at 9:48 a.m. She weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce and was 20 inches long. Her proud parents are Bob Ary from Meeker and Alex Fisher. They are both employed at Pioneers Medical Center.
High price for poachers
MEEKER I Three Missouri men have paid a high price for deciding to kill bull elk in the Colorado high country last fall without having valid bull elk licenses. In addition to paying hefty fines, the men now face the loss of hunting privileges in Colorado and 34 other states.
The annual pageant will go on
MEEKER I The Meeker Pageant will continue for another year. After a public plea, the pageant has a new volunteer director, and this director comes with a respected drama resume.
