It might not hurt that his father, Jason Hightower, is the principal, but Sam Hightower, above, a kindergarden student at Meeker Elementary School, is the only student at the school who had perfect attendance for the 2012-2013 year.

Teams stumble at DI Globals
MEEKER I Three teams from Meeker represented Colorado at the Destination Imagination Global Tournament in Knoxville, Tenn., last week. Meeker’s top-placing team was the Thinkadinks, who finished 11th in their age group.

Wedding: Kinnison~Titmus
Shaelene D. Kinnison, the daughter of Raelene and Marty Bills of Rangely, Colo., became the bride of Johnny W. Titmus, Jr., the son of Candy Titmus, also of Rangely, on April 20, 2013. The wedding took place at their home in Dinosaur, Colo., with all their loved ones in attendance.
Peacock Building site to be museum
RANGELY I A piece of Rangely history came down when the structure popularly known as the “Peacock Building” was demolished last week. Another form of history, a car museum, will take its place.
