MEEKER I Each year, some 350 bird species migrate between summer and winter habitats. Their flights span state and national boundaries and have inspired unique partnerships dedicated to bird conservation. International Migratory Bird Day celebrates these migrating birds each year in May.

BMS students participate in History Day
History Day is a national history competition for both middle and high school students and last week, several Barone Middle School students participated in the annual event.

Gracie Bradfield, Kenzie Turner, Lila Klinglesmith, Kale Burke, Charlie Day and Pake Burke, members of the Destination/Imagination team Six Brains are Better than One, performed the skit that qualified the team for the International Global Finals in Knoxville, Tenn., later this month.

Fourth- and fifth-graders from Meeker Elementary School have spent a couple hours a week with music teacher Anna Todd and learned to plan the marimbas.

Last Friday and Saturday the Meeker High School Drama Club presented “Grease — The Musical” to packed houses at the MHS auditorium.
