Attention Rio Blanco County voters: It’s time we as citizens take control of our county and elect a commissioner with true leadership, strong ethics, integrity and who is not afraid to rock the boat.
Opinion
Letter: Some local opinions seem oxymoronic
The definition of an oxymoron is: A figure in which an epithet of a contrary signification is added to a word; e. g., cruel kindness; laborious idleness. I think we all see oxymorons in our world and government on a daily basis. These are the ones I see.

Letter: Hot rod drivers seemed in control
I wanted to write in response to last week’s rant on the parade from Earl. Yes, there could have been an accident. Every day, in any given place, there can be an accident. If we all lived in fear of what could happen, we’d never leave our homes. Although accidents[Read More…]
Letter: The Bronco has closed, but staff says thanks
To the folks of Rangely and CNCC students, past and present, I’d like to give you all a special thanks and let you know that the last time you were in the Bronco was your last time. Sorry to say the Bronco will not re-open this next semester.

Septemberfest is quickly approaching upon us here in Rangely; I’ve come up with an idea for the event, but I’m gonna need some help. Here’s what I have planned, I would like to have a “Crazy Quilt” made by different people in the community and then all sewn together to[Read More…]

Letter: Regulations holding back gas exploration
Enjoy the paper as usual. I especially enjoyed the fact that the county has begun an informational column titled “The County Cubicle.” I believe the dialogue will be very useful.
Rain fails to dampen celebratory spirits in county events

Letter: Board should explain reasons for Pfau firing
I am asking a few questions on the recent dismissal of Mr. Doug Pfau. It still is very unclear to several members of this community and myself after I recently talked with a board member and Mr. Doug Pfau himself. Both sides are not able to disclose information because of[Read More…]

I would like to take a moment to publicly reflect on a few concerns that are troubling me in regards to the recent dismissal of the school district’s superintendent, Mr. Doug Pfau, by the Meeker School Board.
Range Call fireworks show ‘biggest of the Western Slope’
