RDH receives $50,000 health care grant

RANGELY — Gov. Bill Ritter announced that the Colorado Rural Health Care Grant Council has awarded just more than $1.9 million in the inaugural round of grants to strengthen health care delivery in Colorado’s rural communities. The Rangely District Hospital received $50,000 to improve its physical plant.

RANGELY — In recent weeks the Rangely Police Department has taken numerous complaints from several people and business owners in town concerning vandalism.

RDH receives new ambulance, replaces older unit

RANGELY — The Rangely District Hospital has a new ambulance. The new 2008 Lifeline ambulance replaces an older unit. Ambulance director Shanna Kinney gave a tour of the new vehicle for the hospital board and the county commissioners and explained the operational details and spoke of the acquisition process.

RANGELY — The long search for a new town manager concluded successfully with the selection of Peter Brixius. Brixius, most recently of Gering, Neb., brings a wealth of experience, beginning as the son of a Marine recruiter who lived in different locations throughout the country.
