Smoke is from Canadian fires

RBC I It has been tough to miss the haze in the air the past 10 days around Northwest Colorado, but the good news, a government officials has reported, the smoke is not from fires in Northwest Colorado, Southern Wyoming or Eastern Utah, but likely Canada.

USDA reminder: Acreage reports due July 15

RBC I U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Colorado Farm Service Agency (FSA) Executive Director Leland Swenson reminds agricultural producers that July 15 is the deadline to file an acreage report for spring seeded crops in Colorado.

Special hunts are offered

RBC I Colorado Parks and Wildlife, the Bureau of Reclamation and the Western Colorado Wildlife Habitat Association are sponsoring six, limited, special access archery hunts in the Grand Valley this fall.

Udall seeks fall interns

RBC I U.S. Sen. Mark Udall’s offices in Colorado and in Washington, D.C., are accepting internship applications from undergraduate students and recent graduates for the fall. The program offers students the opportunity for public service and to learn hands-on about constituent services and the legislative process.
