Bears, lions reported in county towns
RBC I Luckily there haven’t been any tiger sightings in Rio Blanco County, but bears and lions have been on the minds of law enforcement and wildlife officers in in Meeker and Rangely this summer.

Painting entries at the Rio Blanco County Fair took on many looks and many mediums. One local artist who nailed the oil landscape in the seniors 60-plus class was Norma Oldland, who garnered a first place ribbon as well as the Best of Show ribbon in her category.

RBC I For the first time ever, Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) is now offering all of its over-the-county big game licenses at the same time. All leftover elk, pronghorn, bear, deer and turkey licenses went on sale Tuesday to residents and non-residents.
