Road and Bridge faces long list of summer projects
RBC I The Rio Blanco County Road and Bridge Department oversees 913 miles of roads, the county landfill between Rangely and Meeker, and now the department director says this summer is going to be one of the busiest ever with additional road repair and maintenance projects above the normal routine.

All wildlife but deer appear to be doing well in county
RBC I Nearly all wildlife in Rio Blanco County is doing quite well following a wet spring, and some species are doing so well that they may be contributing to the decrease in number of area mule deer.

Fire season delayed by damp weather
RBC I Usually a delay means something is wrong, but good news arrived with the abundance of precipitation in May, meaning that the fire season in the White River Basin will likely be delayed from the earlier-predicted June start to at least July or August.
