RBC — It’s Child Find Time. Horizons Specialized Services, in conjunction with Rio Blanco BOCES, the Department of Social Services, County Health, Aspen Dental Clinic and Columbine Medical Clinic, are all getting together to screen our young children ages 6 months to 5 years in Rangely and Meeker.

RBC — A community survey was distributed to all households in Rio Blanco County in late January in an effort to collect information for the update to the county’s master plan. A total of 2,675 surveys were mailed and, to date, 400 have been returned.
Sen. White meets with school boards to talk about state budget cuts
RBC — When Meeker and Rangely school board members expressed concern about educational funding to Sen. Al White of Hayden, he could sympathize with their situation. “I understand it’s a very difficult year,” White said.
December incidents up 17.7 percent
RBC — The combined incidents for the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office and the Meeker Police Department continued on trend with another significant increase during December 2008, logging an impressive 17.7 percent increase in activity compared to December 2007.
