RBC coroner airlifted after shooting
MEEKER — County Coroner Ran Cochran was airlifted Wednesday morning to St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, the victim of a gunshot wound in the stomach.

RBC — Soon after the story appeared last week in The Denver Post, citing First National Bank of the Rockies as one of seven Colorado banks ordered “to clean up their practices,” FNBR President Peter Waller fired off a response, by posting a blog on The Post’s Web site.

White River Watershed snow still above normal
RBC — The second snow survey of winter on the Upper White River Watershed was completed on Feb. 26. The White River snow pack water equivalent (snow moisture) is presently 7 percent above last year at this time.

January incidents up 8.5 percent
RBC — The combined incidents for the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office and the Meeker Police Department continued on trend logging another increase during January 2009, with an 8.5 percent increase in activity from 2008.
