MEEKER I The Meeker Cowboys high school football team is now 4-0 after shutting out the Lake County Panthers 46-0 in Starbuck Stadium on Friday. The team now faces four tough opponents, starting with the Eagles in Paonia on Friday.

RANGELY I The Meeker Cowboys football team made quick work of Del Norte in Olathe on Saturday, beating the Tigers 42-0, keeping them undefeated in their first four games.
MHS Cowboys win third in a row
MEEKER I Just like the Denver Broncos, lightning delayed the first home game for the Meeker Cowboys. However, instead of a delay at the start, lightning delayed the second half for Meeker, although both teams went on to win.

MEEKER I For a second week in a row, the Meeker Cowboys football team has played a larger school on the road and returned with victories, the most recent an exciting 32-29 victory over the 2A Grand Valley Cardinals.

MEEKER I After two weeks of two-a-day practices, the Meeker Cowboys played another team for the first time Friday in Grand Junction, then returned home to host the annual Cowboy Kickoff Classic golf tournament after a big win.

Meeker drops final game to Hotchkiss, 34-12
MEEKER I The Meeker Cowboys dropped their final conference game to Hotchkiss, 34-12. The Black and Gold played the Bulldogs fairly even except for two long runs by the ace Hotchkiss running back, who bolted for 60 and 93 touchdown runs during the contest.
Cowboys beat Rams, 34-9
MEEKER I The Cowboy defense rose up and stopped the Roaring Fork attack to put the Black and Gold in position to register a conference victory against the largest enrollment team in Class A.
JV Cowboys override Coal Ridge
MEEKER I Manned by 15 JV players, the Cowboys beat Coal Ridge’s JV, 34-6.
Cowboys lose tough one to Cedaredge
MEEKER I In the most physical game of the year, the Cowboys came out on the short end against Cedaredge. Cedaredge is enjoying one of its best seasons with their drop in classification to Class A.
