MEEKER I Friday night the Cowboys lined up against each other as Meeker hosted Plateau Valley, also home of the Cowboys.

MEEKER I “Last week was tough to gauge since we were missing four wrestlers,” said Cowboy head wrestling coach J.C. Watt said, “but we’ve improved a lot since the start of the season.”

MEEKER I After the holiday break, the Cowboy wrestling team opened the 2012 part of the season in the toughest tournament it has entered so far.
High school teams start 2012 play Friday
RBC I Both Rio Blanco County high school wrestling teams will travel across the state line to open the 2012 season at the Tournament of Champions in Vernal, Utah, and three of the local basketball teams will host at least one home game this weekend.
Hardy wins West Grand
MEEKER I “It was a good week for Hardy,” Meeker wrestling coach J.C. Watt said of senior Justin Hardy who won the 170-pound bracket last Saturday in Kremmling. Hayden won the team title, which featured 13 teams.

MEEKER I Dubbed ‘the toughest tournament in the United States,’ the Reno Tournament of Champions gave University of Wyoming Cowboy wrestler Joe LeBlanc his first loss of his senior season.
