MEEKER — ”It was wonderful,” said Jo Tucker about the first annual golf tournament played in memory of her husband Bob. The Coach Bob Tucker Memorial raised funds for a scholarship in the former Meeker graduate/teacher/ coach’s name.

MEEKER — The Barone Middle School track team finished its season last weekend with a meet in Steamboat. After a week of bad weather, Saturday turned out to be a great day for a track meet.

Cowboys wrestle hard in Craig
MEEKER — The Meeker Peewee wrestling team traveled to the Bad Dogs tournament in Craig Saturday. Seven Cowboys were crowned champion, four were consolation champions and four took home third place. All the kids wrestled hard but met some tough competition.

Peewee team shines in Rangely
MEEKER — The Meeker Peewee wrestling team was 36 kids strong when they traveled to Rangely this past weekend. Among the 36 wrestlers attending the tournament, 25 placed in the top four.
