Panthers receive new scoreboard
RANGELY I A new scoreboard was installed and dedicated last week at the 2012 homecoming game against the Nucla Mustangs. The Panthers lit up the new scoreboard, scoring 61 points, while only allowing the Mustangs 6.
Barlau wins O.F.I.C. tourney
MEEKER I Mark Barlau of Glenwood Springs defended his title as champion of the Old Farts In Carts (O.F.I.C.) tournament played last Saturday at the Meeker Golf Course. The field of 27 golfers, split into two flights, featured more than 20 from out of town.
Local NFL Punt, Pass and Kick results released
MEEKER I The annual NFL Punt, Pass and Kick competition, sponsored locally by the ERBM Recreation and Park District, was held Sept. 14. Forty-four boys and girls, ranging in age from six to 15, competed.
Barone Middle School football team
The Barone Middle School football teams opened the season in Starbuck Stadium last Saturday against Rangely and won both the seventh- and eighth-grade games but lost two games to Craig last Saturday.
