RHS seniors compete in three events at state
RANGELY I The Rangely track team was fortunate enough to take two hard-working senior athletes to the State Track and Field Championships this past weekend. Logan Osborne qualified for the 300 hurdles and Audrey Hogan qualified for both the 800 run and the 1,600 run.
Meeker athletes bring home nine state medals
MEEKER I This year’s state track meet showcased some state records, the introduction of disabled athlete events and very strong winds on Saturday. Meeker kids qualified in 11 events and placed 17th out of the 100 plus schools in the 2A division.
Faculty versus seniors Sunday at MHS gym
MEEKER | The annual faculty versus seniors basketball game will be at 6 p.m. Sunday in the Meeker High School gym, followed by the alumni games at 7 p.m. If there are enough alumni, there will be two games — “Young guns” and “old-timers.”

MEEKER I Nineteen Western Slope 2A schools converged at Stocker Stadium in Grand Junction last Thursday and Friday to compete in the Regional Track Meet.

RANGELY I The team of Dutch Kissling, Dave Schneider, Eric and Chris Hejl finished with the best gross score of 58, while a foursome of Jason Cox, Jack Richens, Ryan Kennedy and Dustin Cox had the top net score of 37 in Saturday’s “Bernie Tourney” at Cedar Ridges Golf Course.
Kennedy, Frantz earn top peewee wrestling award
MEEKER I Tannen Kennedy and Dillon Frantz were recipients of the outstanding wrestler award, given at the end of the season in the Northwest Colorado Peewee Wrestling League.
