RBC I Rio Blanco County’s middle school track teams had an outstanding meet Saturday in Craig. The weather was beautiful and proved conducive to fast times and long throws for both teams.

It was a 1-2-3 finish for Barone Middle School eighth-graders in the 200-meter dash for T.J. Shelton, Dillon Frantz and Devon Pontine last Saturday in Rangely.

RHS tracksters earn PRs
RANGELY I This last weekend was filled with personal records for the Rangely High Panthers track and field team. The team traveled early Saturday morning to Stocker Stadium in Grand Junction to participate in the Frank Woodburn Invitational hosted by Palisade High School.
Youth wrestlers host tourney
RANGELY I The Rangely Panther Youth Wrestling team hosted their own tournament April 7 and had an outstanding weekend.

Rangely senior Haeley Enterline was honorably mentioned to the girls’ all-conference basketball team, while teammates Quincey Thacker and Brittany Babineaux were both named to the first team all-conference team.

Brenton wins track & field national championship
RANGELY I After earning All-American honors three times on the Western State College Mountaineer track and field team, Rangely graduate Jason Brenton took three years off from competing in track but returned this year to win a NCAA Division II national title in the triple jump.
