RMS hosts area teams for track meet
RANGELY — Rangely Middle School track team had its first and only home track meet Saturday, April 26. Participating schools were Meeker, Craig and Hayden.
Panther track gearing up for the season’s finish
RANGELY — The Panther track and field team competed in three meets during the past two weeks and performed well. The team competed twice in Craig and once at home. The remaining schedule includes the league, region and state meets.

RANGELY — This past Saturday the Rangely Middle School track team traveled to Meeker for its second meet of the season.
RHS track competes twice in GJ
RANGELY — The Panther track and field team traveled to Grand Junction’s Stocker Stadium on Saturday and Monday. The Frank Woodburn Invitational was held on Saturday and the Ned Pollert Freshman/Sophomore Meet was on Monday.
Peacock sets RMS triple jump record at meet
RANGELY — The Rangely Middle School Panthers started the 2008 track season with a bang in Craig Saturday. All 13 athletes competed in very frigid weather. The shot put and disc throws were canceled due to a wet and soggy field.

RANGELY — The Rangely Panther baseball team had three games this past week.
Panthers drop two to Cougars
RANGELY — The Panthers faced off against the Union Cougars on Tuesday. The Cougars were just too much for Rangely, ending both games in just five innings. Beating the Panthers 16-6 and 18-4.
Panther boys track wins in Meeker
RANGELY —The Panther boys scored 150 points to win the Lynn Whiteman Invitational track and field meet defeating six other teams in Meeker over the weekend.
Brenton earns all-American status
RANGELY — Former Rangely High School graduate Jason Brenton, currently a sophomore at Western State College in Gunnison, recently earned all-American honors by finishing eighth in the NCAA Division II national track and field meet in Mankato, Minn., March 14-15.
Peewee wrestlers open season in Hayden
MEEKER — Twenty-seven peewee wrestlers from Meeker competed in the Hayden tournament last Saturday. The young Cowboys placed 16 in the top four and will compete in Rifle this Saturday.
