RANGELY I Thirty-three golfers, including two from the eastern town of Rio Blanco County, played in the annual Rangely Men’s Club Championship, and defending champion Clark Edwards not only defended his title, he dominated the championship flight.

RBC I Rangely High School students were back in the classroom on Aug. 15 while Meeker students started Monday. Practice of fall sports officially started Aug. 15, and three days later, Rangely’s golf team was already competing.

RANGELY I The Rangely Hurricanes Swim Team won its seventh Colorado State Championship for small teams at the Seasonal Club State Championship Swim Meet hosted in Craig’s 25-meter pool this past weekend.
Rangely’s 8-to-10 baseball team avenges loss, wins championship
RANGELY I Rangely’s 8-9-10-year-old baseball team, sponsored by the Western Rio Blanco Metropolitan Recreation and Parks District, finished the regular season with one defeat, which it later avenged, and went on to win the league championship last week in Rifle.

RBC I Cedar Ridges Golf Course has been a busy place and will continue to be for the next two weeks as the 27-hole, two-man tournament will be played this weekend, followed by the Couples Classic.

RANGELY I Chris Vergnaud, the head volleyball coach for the Colorado Northwestern Community College Spartans, has announced that the CNCC Spartan Volleyball Camp is now scheduled for July 27 and 28.

RANGELY I CNCC Rodeo Coach Jed Moore issued an update Monday regarding the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR), held in Casper in late June. “My apologies for the tardiness of this update, we have been hot and heavy on the recruiting trail,” he said.
