Meeker has another championship team, the fifth and sixth-grade rec league basketball team. The team, coached by Ivy Coryell and Kristi Wilson, took first place in their end-of-season tournament last weekend in Debeque.
“We had a great basketball season!” commented Coryell. “The girls had a lot of fun and they all had huge growth; I couldn’t be prouder of how the season unfolded.”
There were nine girls on the team (not in order of photo): Kayslyn Overton, Riley Wilson, Brooke Legits, Jada Gould, Micah LeBlanc, Zoe Holt, Hannah Coryell, Graysie Coryell, and Rozi Granzella.
