NOTICE OF FINAL CONTRACTOR SETTLEMENT
2019 RIO BLANCO COUNTY ROAD 101 AND COLO BUILDING PARKING SURFACE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
NOTICE is hereby given that on the 25th day of June, 2019 at Meeker, Colorado, final settlement will be authorized by the Rio Blanco County Board of County Commissioners with United Companies of Mesa County of 2273 River Rd, Grand Junction, CO 81505 for all work done by said CONTRACTOR on the project known as 2019 Rio Blanco County Road 101 and COLO Building Parking Surface Improvement Project.
1) Any person, co-partnership, association, or corporation who has an unpaid claim against the said project may at any time, up to and including the date specified in item 2 below, file a VERIFIED STATEMENT of the amount due and unpaid on account of such claims.
2) All such claims shall be filed with Van Pilaud, County Engineer, Rio Blanco County Road & Bridge Department, 570 2nd Street, Meeker, Colorado 81641 on or before end of business on June 24, 2019.
3) Failure on the part of a creditor to file such a statement will relieve Rio Blanco County from any and all liability for such claim.

INVITATION TO BID
Used 1989 Caterpillar Loader
Notice is hereby given that the Town of Meeker is selling a used 1989 Caterpillar Loader with 10,123 hours, complete with one set of forks, a bucket, tires are at 50% tread. A minimum bid of $5,000 is required. Loader may be viewed by calling Russell at 970-942-7555. Loader will be sold as is/where is, with no warranty expressed or implied. The bid will be awarded to the highest bidder.
Sealed bid proposals will be accepted at Town Hall, 345 Market Street, Meeker, CO until Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 4:00 p.m., proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Town Board meeting at 7:00 p.m. July 2nd. The bid proposal must be placed in an envelope, securely sealed and labeled “Town of Meeker Caterpillar Loader Bid”.
The Town reserves the right to reject or accept any and all bids; to change, add, or amend the specifications; to waive any informalities; and the right to disregard all nonconforming or conditional bids or counter proposals. Pursuant to the Rules and Regulation of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board published August 1980, and pursuant to the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act 34-33-101, et seq., notice is hereby given of the filing of an application for Phase I through III Bond Release of a portion of the Colowyo Mine site. The application pertains to the existing Colowyo Coal Mine, Permit No. C-1981-019, Colowyo Coal Company L.P., 5731 State Highway No. 13, Meeker, Colorado 81641, filed with the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (CDRMS), Colorado Department of Natural Resources, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203, and approved by the Division on August 14, 2018 (latest Permit Renewal). The Colowyo Mine is located approximately 28 miles south of Craig, Colorado.
The Phase I and II bond release areas being applied for were reclaimed from 2011 through 2014 and total approximately 3.3 acres and 83.3 acres respectively. The Phase III area being applied for are permanent structures and total approximately 5.2 acres. All areas being applied for are shown on Maps 1 and 2 within the application. The status of the reclaimed areas is consistent with the requirements of the approved reclamation plan, which includes backfill and grading to the approved post-mine topography, variable topsoil replacement depths, and vegetative establishment supporting the post-mine land use. Listed below is a general legal description of these areas:

A copy of the bond release application is on file at the Moffat County Clerk and Recorder’s Office located in the Moffat County Courthouse, 221 West Victory Way, Craig, Colorado 81625, and the Rio Blanco County Clerk and Recorder’s Office located in Rio Blanco County Courthouse, 555 Main Street, Meeker, Colorado 81641. Written comments, objections, and requests for a public hearing or informal conference concerning this bond release application should be addressed to the Colorado Division of Reclamation Mining and Safety, Colorado Department of Natural Resources, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203.
Comments must be filed within thirty (30) days from the last date of this publication, or within thirty (30) days of the completed inspection by the CDRMS, whichever is later.
