Letter: Martins express ‘heartfelt gratitude’

Listen to this post

The Martin family would like to convey our deepest, heartfelt gratitude to the community of Meeker. We have been affectionately overwhelmed by the amount of concern and support shown us since Stone’s tragic passing and during the difficulties our family now faces. For many reasons we call Meeker “home,” but none of them more valuable or apparent than the love being exhibited toward us now. Though the void left in Stone’s absence could never be filled with anything in this world, the depth of our loss has been met with the loving graciousness of God through the hearts and hands of those around us. These feeble words seem so inadequate in our attempt to offer our thanks to all who have offered their support through cards, calls, visits, money, gifts, and especially the kind words and silent smiles, hugs and shared tears, and prayers on our behalf. Alahna’s amazing recovery is surely a testament to God’s power and the countless prayers offered. Meeker has become “home” to us because you have become like family. You have truly given of yourselves. We are forever grateful! Our love be with you all.
Paul, Vanessa and Alahna Martin
