The Division 2 Meeker Mustangs traveled to Battlement Mesa last Saturday for an afternoon game with Parachute #1. Having had a solid week of practice to correct any first game issues, the Mustangs came out strong and never looked back in shutting out the Piranhas. Coaches noted skilled play on both defense and offense. Division 1 Mustangs had a bye week with no game on Saturday. On Saturday, Sept. 21 the Mustangs play at home field Starbuck Stadium. Division 1 takes the field at 5 p.m. with the Division 2 game starting at 7 p.m. under the lights! Please come out and support these hardworking teams. CARLY THOMSON Photo
