MEEKER I Meeker High School girls’ golf played Eagle Ranch Monday, the first time for the girls on this team. The links style course is challenging with numerous bunkers, native grass and water.
“We had a great time at Eagle Ranch,” said head coach Amanda Back. “It was an adventure on this links style course and the girls did great.”
Vivian Brown, who shot a 118, and Hailey Knowles, who shot a 127, played individual and Averee Woodward, Aiyana McCook, Gracie Blagg and Haley Blaisdell played in the scramble.
“They are improving,” said Back. “They are hitting the ball more solid and have been putting a whole lot better as well. The ladies who played in the scramble enjoyed seeing and experiencing a new course.”
The team has a bit of a break before they head to Bookcliff Golf Course in Grand Junction on May 16.
