MHS volleyball opens season at Glenwood tournament

MEEKER | The Meeker Cowboys varsity volleyball team played in a tournament in Glenwood Springs on Aug. 23-24. 

According to MaxPreps, the team beat Roaring Fork 2-1 and  lost to Glenwood Springs 0-2, then went on to win 2-0 against Pagosa Springs on Saturday and lost to Steamboat Springs 1-2.

Senior Taylor Garcia is leading the stats for receptions, digs and digs per set. Junior Rylee Sullivan is leading in kills, kills per set, serving aces, and aces per set. Senior Reese Clatterbaugh is leading in hitting percentage and total blocks, and senior Graycee Cravens is leading in assists. 

This year’s schedule has the girls first home game set for Friday, Sept. 6 against DeBeque at 3 p.m.
