MEEKER I The Meeker School District (MSD) Re-1 Education Board will have a work session April 30 followed by a special executive session during which employee contracts are subject to renewal and teachers and principals will be evaluated. Decisions must be made during the board meeting, after the executive session.

Roughly 590 people joined in the 9HealthFair on Saturday at Meeker Elementary School, within 30 of the total for each of the past three years, according to coordinator Christy Atwood.
Rangely sunrise service…
An annual non-denominational Easter sunrise service is held three miles south of Rangely. Local pastors rotate the brief music and message time. Gail Chiyoko Yoshida Caldwell, 84, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014, at the Walbridge Wing in Meeker, Colo. She was the second daughter born to to Hamakichi and Hana Yoshida in Fujisawa Takazagun, Japan.
