County postal carriers to collect food on Saturday
RBC I Rangely and Meeker post offices and postal carriers will be collecting non-perishable food on Saturday as part of the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) program to “Stamp Out Hunger.”
Meeker Rec. Center to close for a week
MEEKER I The Meeker Recreation Center will be closed for its annual shutdown beginning May 19 and continuing through May 27 in recognition of Memorial Day. Normal business hours will resume at 5 a.m. on May 28.

179 to graduate or receive certificates at CNCC commencement
RANGELY I Roughly 120 students will receive their degrees and certificates from Colorado Northwestern Community College on Saturday afternoon, culminating what for most students has been at least two years of hard work in higher education.

From My Window… Happy Mother’s Day: Unpacking woes and county cautioned
I can see sunshine clearly out my window, and that may be a good thing. It may actually turn into spring soon, and that will cheer up a lot of folks in Rio Blanco County who are waiting for sunshine and warmer temperatures after a particularly prolonged winter.
