Letter: The beauty of being raised in a small town
Dear Editor: Recently, we experienced the beauty of being raised in a small town. The genuineness and kindness of the people of Meeker flows way beyond the lines of Rio Blanco County. Our ties to Meeker seem to enrich our lives again and again, no matter where we end up.
Up and down el Rio Blanco: Great kids
We raise some great kids around here. Last week I wrote about the favorite part of my job as being able to watch kids grow up. I got to witness some of them growing up last week and I look forward to watching more this week.
Summer “up the mountain” sparks fond memories
RANGELY I The change of seasons brings back many memories of winters down the White River and summers atop Douglas Mountain for Meb Wardell. Venna Meb Smith was born in Vernal, Utah, and made many trips back and forth to Rangely while growing up.

Oliver Diemoz April 13, 1913 ~ Feb. 15, 2011 Oliver Diemoz of Silt, Colo., born April 13, 1913, passed away Feb. 15, 2011, at Crossroads Assisted Living in Rifle, Colo., where he resided for more than a year.
