Buddy Linderman of Grand Junction died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010, at Kindred Hospital in Denver. A memorial service will be held Monday, Sept. 20 at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary at 11 a.m. in Grand Junction.

Mustangs get 28-0 victory in season opener

MEEKER | The Mustangs kicked off the season last Sunday in Rifle, facing off against one of New Castle’s teams. For the first quarter, the teams looked evenly matched, but by the second quarter the Mustangs showed their speed and depth, winning 28-0.

Rangely boys place fifth at Basalt

RANGELY I The Rangely Panthers’ cross country team traveled to Basalt last Saturday for the Longhorn Invitational. The Rangely boys finished in fifth place. Rosalise Coombs, the Panther’s only female runner, is sidelined with a knee injury.
