Weather ends first track meet of year
MEEKER I It was a track meet. Almost. Meeker High School’s track team competed in its first meet of the season Saturday at West Grand Invitational in Kremmling. However, the meet was called because of weather, before the final events were completed.
LeBleu wrestles with his decision to retire
RANGELY I Jeff LeBleu has been coaching wrestling at some level for 20 years. So, it wasn’t like he hadn’t put in his time. “I’ve been coaching since my 24-year-old (Keenan) was 4,” LeBleu said. “But I need a break.”

Meeker peewees crown seven champs at Craig
MEEKER I Thirty-two peewee wrestlers from Meeker competed in the Craig tournament Saturday and 23 placed in the top four, including seven champions. Brothers Kelton and Casey Turner, Tannen Kennedy, Wyatt Pfau, Jake Shelton, Colton Wille and Cody Nielsen all won their respective brackets.
Rangely opens season

Conrado joins trustees, along with mayor, two incumbents
Editor’s note: Danny Conrado is the newest member of the Meeker Town Board of Trustees. He will be sworn in April 12, along with returning Trustees Regas Halandras and Rod Gerloff and Mayor Mandi Etheridge.
U.S. Census assistance centers in county
RBC I The U.S. Census has Questionnaire Assistance Centers available to help people who have questions. In Rio Blanco County, a center is located in the Fairfield Community Center in Meeker, the Rangely Town Hall and the Rangely Regional Library.
Rangely rabies clinic scheduled April 17
RANGELY | The rabies clinic will be Saturday, April 17 from 1-4 p.m. at the Rangely Fire Hall (after the health fair). All shots and microchipping will be at reduced prices.
