Meeker hosts nearly 300 peewee wrestlers

MEEKER — After a one-year hiatus, the Meeker Pee Wee Wrestling club hosted the Casey Turner Memorial tournament last Saturday, featuring more than 280 wrestlers from around the region, including more than 45 from Meeker and more than half placed in the top four.

Flannery pleads guilty to Class 4 felony in theft

MEEKER — Shelly Flannery, former treasurer for the Rio Blanco County Historical Society, pleaded guilty last Friday to one count of theft of $1,000 to $20,000, a Class 4 felony, with recommendation for probation, said Anthony Mazzola, investigator for the 9th Judicial District.
