MEEKER — Meeker resident Dr. Bob Dorsett presented Meeker’s board of trustees with a list of potential alternatives to the Second Street extension compiled from discussions by the members of the Sulphur Creek neighborhood group.

Dinwiddie joins county planning department

RBC — The new face in the Rio Blanco County Planning Department isn’t all that new. At least to the area. Mike Dinwiddie joined the planning department in December, but he’s been living and working in the county for several years.

Charges filed against Shelly Flannery

MEEKER — Charges were filed last week in Rio Blanco County against Shelly Flannery, the former treasurer for the Rio Blanco County Historical Society. “There were two counts filed,” said Anthony Mazzola, 9th Judicial District investigator.

November incidents up 15.3 percent

RBC — The combined incidents for the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office and the Meeker Police Department rose significantly during November 2008, with a 15.3 percent increase in activity compared to November 2007.
