Avalanche danger elevated this weekend

The Colorado Avalanche Information Center has issued a special avalanche advisory through Monday, Jan. 15 as additional snow and winds through the holiday weekend increase the avalanche danger statewide. Some areas will see extreme danger. Backcountry recreation seekers are encouraged to adjust weekend plans accordingly and check the forecast.
