It seems to me, there’s no shortage of community events in Rio Blanco County. Who says there’s nothing to do in a small town? OK, I’ve only been here for three months. But, during that time, there’s been plenty of activities going on. And I’ve enjoyed them all.
Streaker makes Aug. 16 trip to Leadville and railroad excursion
RANGELY — On Saturday, Aug. 16, the Streaker passengers, driven by Sharon, went to Leadville to ride the Colorado and Southern train. Sharon started picking up passengers at 4:10 a.m., leaving Meeker at 5 a.m.
Loose Ends: Taking nothing for granted
MEEKER — A recent trip to the emergency room and a ride in the ambulance made me grateful for the hospital and the wonderful care provided by the Pioneers hospital staff. It also made me realize how easy it is to take local health care services for granted.
