Soldier back in U.S., faces long recovery

MEEKER — Army Staff Sgt. Daniel Saucedo, the husband of Deni Back of Meeker, was able to be transferred last Friday from Germany to a military hospital in Washington, D.C., but he’s still listed in serious condition.

RBC — The Eastern and Western Rio Blanco County 911 Emergency Telephone Authority has contracted with Emergency Communications Network, Inc., of Ormond Beach, Fla., for its “CodeRED” high-speed telephone emergency notification services.

Meeker wins baseball tourney

MEEKER — Summer baseball came to an end last week, with Meeker hosting and winning the 11-12-year-old bracket. Other tournaments were held around the region but local teams did not fare as well.
