A 62 year old female was arrested on 9/19/2023 for a protection order violation by Meeker PD and taken to Moffat County Jail. She was issued a PR bond on 9/20/2023
CALL SUMMARIES
9/18/2023 @ 8:50 pm. Juveniles have been leaving vulgar notes on resident’s doors in the 700 block of Park Ave. An officer responded and was unable to locate the culprits.
9/19/2023 @ 8:06 am. A missing hunter was reported near Sleepy Cat Peak by his relatives in Pennsylvania. The missing hunter ended up being OK. It had taken him 4 days to haul out the elk he had got.
9/19/2023 @ 9:48 am. Another missing hunter was reported by his wife as it had been 24 hours since she had heard from her husband. A deputy was able to contact the hunter by phone and he was OK in Grand Junction and not happy that his wife had called him in as missing.
9/19/2023 @ 1:32 pm. A protection order violation occured when a female party was drinking when she should not have been due to her protection order stipulations. The female was taken into custody and taken to Moffat County Jail by Meeker PD.
9/19/2023 @ 8:37 pm. A single tree fire started at about the 3 mile-marker on County Road 38. Meeker Volunteer Fire Dept. responded and was able to get the fire controlled and contained at 10:20 pm.
9/20/2023 @ 2:17 pm. A wildfire was reported southwest of 7 Lakes Lodge. Meeker Volunteer Fire Dept. responded and cleared the fire at 6:39 pm.
9/21/2023 @ 4:32 am. An abandoned rollover accident was reported to the Communications Center that had occured approximately 2 1/2 miles up County Road 11 (Sulphur Creek Rd.). The driver of the truck came into the Sheriff’s Office at 10:14 am. Colorado State Patrol took over the investigation.
9/23/2023 @ 4:20 pm. A traffic complaint resulted in a summons from a deputy when a vehicle was called in for no visible plates, swerving and inconsistent speeds at the 55 mile-marker on Highway 139.
