MEEKER I Former Barone Middle School teacher Rory Wilson became the fastest solo sailor to row and kite across the Pacific Ocean from San Diego, Calif., to Honolulu, Hawaii.

Middle school hosts hunting contest
MEEKER I The results are in for the Big Bull and Buck Contest at Barone Middle School. Students who hunted this year brought in their deer and elk antlers to be measured and compared.

MEEKER I Two days after undergoing surgery Oct. 27, Dade Heck came home. A week earlier, Dade, a sixth-grader, was injured in an accident Oct. 22 during recess at Barone Middle School.
