Letter: U.S. must remain strong militarily
The Obama administration is contemplating major reductions in the Defense Department budget to help cut into the huge deficits incurred by the President and his Washington cronies. They plan on reducing our conventional military forces and increasing special operations units to combat the terrorist threats around the world.
Letter: South Fork bridge makes no sense
The plans for a new bridge over the South Fork four miles below where the road ends at the South Fork Campground are being finalized in preparation for construction next summer. Since Federal money is paying for part of the cost, Federal standards must be followed.
