Mustangs get 28-0 victory in season opener
MEEKER | The Mustangs kicked off the season last Sunday in Rifle, facing off against one of New Castle’s teams. For the first quarter, the teams looked evenly matched, but by the second quarter the Mustangs showed their speed and depth, winning 28-0.
Lady Cowboys trying to find their groove
MEEKER I The Lady Cowboy volleyball team traveled to Steamboat Springs last Friday for a non-league game and a learning experience against the larger school. “We did a lot of good things, but we are still trying to find our groove,” coach Christy Atwood said.
Rangely boys place fifth at Basalt
RANGELY I The Rangely Panthers’ cross country team traveled to Basalt last Saturday for the Longhorn Invitational. The Rangely boys finished in fifth place. Rosalise Coombs, the Panther’s only female runner, is sidelined with a knee injury.
