MEEKER I Paul Elder, 54, has been listed as a missing person by the Arvada Police Department. Elder was last seen Sept. 2. Elder’s green Chevy pickup was found on Lookout Mountain in Golden on Sept. 9. Arvada police said no foul play is suspected.

Opinion: Meeker sheepdog trials will remain in capable hands
When Gus Halandras first came up with the idea of a starting a sheepdog trial, it took some nerve. “I knew sheep and I knew dogs, but I didn’t know how to run a trial,” Gus said. But that didn’t stop him.
