Defense keys Meeker’s 14-7 victory
MEEKER I Although the Cowboy offense outscored the Paonia Eagles, according to head coach Shane Phelan, it was Meeker’s defense that won the game. “Our defense played well,” Phelan said. “To hold a team like Paonia to one touchdown, you have to do a lot of good things out there.”
