CNCC basketball teams kick off practice Sept. 30
RANGELY I Basketball season is here … almost. Thanks to the advantage of being in the Mountain time zone, Colorado Northwestern Community College’s men’s and women’s basketball teams will officially kick off the season Wednesday, Sept. 30.

I am very much in agreement with Brandy Giao that Michelle Hale has been getting way too much ink in the Herald Times. Her liberal opinions would be much better served on the Huffington Post or Daily Kos.
Denny cards his best score at Coal Ridge

RANGELY I The Panthers’ junior high football teams split their games Saturday with Steamboat Springs. The seventh-graders won 12-6, while the eighth-graders lost 22-8.
Hogan concentrates on sport of the season
RANGELY I It’s volleyball season, so that’s Audrey’s Hogan’s favorite sport. If it was winter, then basketball would be her favorite sport. Whatever sports season it is at the time, that’s her favorite.
